I have finally reached my first goal!! I was so scared to get on the scale this morning and when I finally worked up the nerve to do it I was shocked!! I am now 143lbs, can you believe it? I had been stuck at 145lbs for so long I though I would never get below it. I we preparing myself for having gained weight. I thought for sure that I had gained weight and I was thinking that I was going to try very hard not to cry if I had. But when I got on the scale and it said 143lbs my jaw hit the floor! I was so happy!! My Fiance did weigh himself as well. He had been stuck at 183lbs for a while as well and he is now down to 179lbs. So he lost 4lbs. I am so happy for the both of use! I think he has now lost a total of 31lbs and I have lost a total of 11lbs. He did start before me though. So I went out and got a little treat for myself and I went to Taco Bell for lunch today. I got my normal which is 3 meat and cheese tacos at 200 cals each. I am working it into my calorie limit. I am also going to do a workout as soon as my workout clothes get out of the laundry. I am going to have to go and buy some more workout pants soon. I only have like 3 or so pairs and I workout some like 5 days a week. My new goal now is to get below 140lbs. So I have 4lbs to go before I reach my new goal. I am still trying to stick to my high protein low carb diet. I am having mild success with that. I am not trying to cut it out completely, that would be to hard. I am just trying to keep it down to a minimum. I love it now that I am actually losing weight. It makes me want to stick with it and keep going. If I can do it anyone can do it. I have never known a lazier person then myself. I hated all forms of exercise and getting sweaty was just gross. Now I like it. If I don't get sweaty and look like crap afterward then I feel like I haven't done it right. Weird I know :-). So keep with it, if you put all you have in to it and stick with it you will be able to reach your goal, what ever that may be.

New DVD
For those of you who took my advice and got the Biggest Loser Cardio Max dvd, you know that they say to get the Biggest Loser Power Sculpt to help with your weight loss. So that is what I did. I tried it this afternoon and it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. At least level 1 wasn't. I do need to get some weights, that will make all the differance I think. Most of level 1 they use weights and its just not a challenging without them. I also recommend a mat if you have hard wood floors or any have problems being on the floor without one. You do some stuff laying on you back and on you sides. This dvd is more about working your muscles and not as much about keeping your heart rate up. Although that is a good thing to do. So I am hoping that I will be able to move to two workouts a day and do the cadio and the power sculpt. I will probably do the cardio in the mornings, just so that way I get my heart rate up and it helps me lose more calories during the day. Its looking like I am going to sweat more during the cardio so I want to do that in the morning before I shower and then I can do the power sculpt before I relax for the night. Something New
In the spirit of keeping things new and fresh I decided to try out my pilates dvd. I bought it forever ago and never even opened it till today. I liked it, it has its moments of being hard, but mostly it is like yoga and just stretches you out and works your body in a different way. I am still going to do my Biggest Loser Cardio dvd but I am going to do it tonight instead. I am also sad to say good bye to my diet pops. I learned today that they can cause a lot of problems. http://www.projectswole.com/diet/20-reasons-to-never-drink-soda-or-diet-soda-again/ that is the link that I found. So I am going to finish the case I have of diet pepsi and then I am going to stop drinking pop altogether. That shouldn't be to hard, that hard part will be replacing it with water. I am not a big fan of drinking plain water. Usually if I drink to much it upsets my tummy and it makes me feel kind of sloshy. So I may have to add my Benefiber. I like that cause it comes in different flavors and it helps someone like me, who doesnt really eat enough fruits and veggies, get some fiber in there diet. Fiber is a good way to help you feel full and it also helps you in the bathroom. I also learned on the Biggest Loser season 1 that if you take the number of carbs and subtract it from the number of dietary fiber in a food that gives you the real number of carbs in that item. Since your body can't digest fiber it doesn't stay in the body. I am not looking forward to Halloween, since I am a nanny the kids I watch are going to be going out Trick or treating and that means that they are going to have candy sitting out for weeks now! That is going to be very hard. I am a sucker for candy. Reeses and Twixs are my favorites! It will be hard but I will have to be strong. Wish me luck!!!

The Biggest Loser
So I know that I haven't written in a while, mostly that is due to having nothing really new to say. I have been doing my workout dvd and taking Molly for walks. I took yesterday off instead of Thursday, so I will workout on Thursday now to make up for it. I am going to try and go to the gym on the weekend and get some strength training in. I need to get back on track with my high protein low carb diet. Although my Fiance and I are going to try something very intersting and I hope it works. We are going to do our own Biggest loser challenge at home. We both have about the same amount of weight to lose. He has 25lbs and I have 20lbs for us both to reach our end goal. So hopefully it works. It is real simple the first one to reach there goal wins. We are both going to weigh in on Saturday mornings and record our weights, this way nobody is tempted to cheat. It should prove to be interesting at least. He has already lost 20+ pounds but has platued (I think its mostly that he has started to eat bad again) and I have lost 9lbs and have stopped. The winner gets a $200 shopping spree and the other cant complain. I wanted the loser to have to clean the house for a month but he didn't like that to much. So anyway, I feel that I am going to win because I have already start counting my calories and am use to it and he has just started, plus I am in a better postition to workout during the day then him. He works in an office and sits at a desk and stares at a computer screen all day. He does go to the gym 3 days a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. I will be able to do the little things that can add up. Taking Molly for a walk in the morning as well as at night. I am going to try and do some simple stuff at work. Plus I do more cardio and I am trying to eat better. He is awful about going to the fridge and eating cheese straight from the bag. So if anyone would like to join in, I would love to hear your weight lose stories.

Weigh In #3
Finally some results!! I lost a pound! I am now 145lbs. I am so proud of myself. I didn't give up and I got results!! YAY. Todays workout was harder then normal. I'm not really sure why, maybe because its that time of the month and I'm tired or because I had yesterday off and I liked not having to do anything. Whatever the reason I really had to push today, but I made it. I did level 1 and level 2. I am also starting to not take as many breathing breaks during level 2 and am starting to do some of the harder stuff in both level 1 and level 2. It will still probably be a while before I am able to do level 1 with weights though. I'm trying though and that is all that counts and it is starting to pay off. The first of November I will take my measurements again to see if I have lost any inches. I also think I am going to stick with doing my cardio dvd everyday, instead of doing it at the gym. I will just go to the gym a couple days a week to do some strenght training. I don't push myself hard enough when I am alone at the gym. I like the dvd telling me what to do and it getting my heart rate up to 173bpm. So I burned about 750 cals. in todays workout. I have burnt 862 total today and I am assuming that I had 150 burned when I started my workout this morning. I am also going to try and do something very difficult (at least for me). I am going to try and cut my carbs. I eat a lot of carbs through out the day. Oatmeal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, pasta for dinner. I LOVE carbs!! So I am going to try and cut out the easy ones, like bread and pasta, etc. I will probably slip up but I am going to try. I am going to replace them with protein. Chicken, steaks, beans, peanuts, etc and with fruit and veggies. So instead of having bread with dinner, I will have extra veggies to fill me up. Hopefully this works.

Level 2
So with me being a woman there comes a time every month that I just don't feel like doing anything but sitting on my butt and eating chocolate. This is that time of month for me, however, instead of being a lazy bum like usual I will stay active, I am just going to stay active at home. I don't like feeling yucky at the gym so I am doing my workout video everyday this week instead of going to the gym. I have finally moved up to level 2 in my workout dvd. It is HARD!! First I thought that level 2 would be completely different then level 1. I was wrong, they just add level 2 on to what you are already doing. So you do your warm up, then you do the level 1 cardio workout, and instead of doing the cool down you do the level 2 cardio and then you do the cool down. Its intense. I feel good now that I am doing it though. I burned 650 calories doing that workout. Plus I plan to take Molly for a walk tonight as long as its not raining to hard. I am also not going to go out to eat this weekend. I think that that is my down fall. I eat good all week, keeping my calories around 1400 and then I go out on the weekends and am bad, then say oh well it was the weekend your suppose to be bad on the weekends. Tonight I am going to make homemade calzones, I am making my own crust and using low fat cheese and turkey pepperoni. Should be yummy. I might try my wedding dress on this weekend to give my self some extra motivation. I need to stay focused and stay motivated. Its way to easy for me to give up. I have never stuck with anything for more then a few months and I need to stick with this. Its hard when your not seeing the results that you want right away. I will stick with it!!

Double Workout
So once again I was bad over the weekend, old habits die hard. I almost wish that I had been more active when I was younger. Then I would have something to work with, however I am starting from scratch. Oh well, I'm trying and thats all you can do. Keep trying and never give up. Your only a failure if you give up. Today I did a double workout. I went to the gym this morning like normal and I did my ab and arm workouts like normal, however for some reason I just wasn't into it this morning. I started the elliptical and I was going to try for 25 minutes but I only did 10. I was having a bad morning so I got off and went home. So later this afternoon, after work, I was feeling a little guilty about not doing a full workout and having eaten bad over the weekend, I decided to do my workout video after taking Molly for a walk. And that is exactly what I did, it was not easy since I was tired from the workout this morning and a short walk, but I pushed through. I am going to try and do the workout video more often and maybe get up to level 2 soon. I have only tried level 1. I think maybe next week I will go up to level 2. Since it is a 6 week program you do each level for 2 weeks then you move up. This is the first time that I have stuck with the program long enough to move up to the next leve. I feel like I am doing my body good, even if I don't always eat right.

Weigh In #2
So today is my weigh in and I am sad to say that I am still not under 145 yet. I am the same as last week. Which i guess is saying something cause I didn't gain anything either. I am thinking of moving my weigh in days to Saturday morning instead of Friday. Since I don't workout of Thurdays I am more likely to be bad and I think that might effect my weight. So I am going to weigh my self tomorrow as well to see if there is a differance. I forgot to post on Wednesday, I did workout and ate good. I did abs and legs and was on the treadmill for 45 minutes. Nothing really new. Yesterday was my day off and was my cheat day. Today I was running late and the weather was really crappy so I decided to do a workout video at home instead. I did my Biggest Loser Cardio Max video again and once again my heart rate was up to 168 bpm. I burned over 400 cals. maybe even 500. The cool thing about this video is that once you have done the workout for a while and you know what you need to do next you can choose to not have the trainer there. That is something that has always annoyed me about videos is that you have done the dvd a million times and the person on the screen still talks to you like your 10 years old and tells you what a good job you are doing. I know its a dvd and I cant change it, but its nice to have the option to remove that. So I don't workout on the weekend so I have 2 days off, I might do a dvd though. Only time will tell lol. My feet were still killing me while doing this workout, I wonder if its my shoes? I don't know, if it does it again I might go out and buy some new shoes and see if that helps. Well wish me luck!

This Instead of That
So this morning I was feeling a little under the weather so I decided to skip the gym today and that I would go on Thursday to make up for it. However, since I was running late for work and had missed lunch, I stopped at Taco Bell and got something to eat. I ordered 3 soft shell tacos with just meat and cheese and a diet pepsi. I don't think that it was all that bad of a lunch and its not something that I get on a regular basis. So anyway, once I got home I was feeling better and since I was feeling a little guilty about the Taco Bell run, I decided to do a workout video. I did The Biggest Loser Cardio Max and that was HARD!! I was sweating so bad. I checked my heart rate while I was doing it and that is the highest it has ever been. My heart was at 172 bpm. I burned about 400 cals. if my watch is right. I might have to work that in more often, maybe one or 2 days a week. Maybe that will help me lose the weight even faster. For those who don't have a gym membership this video is a 6 week workout boot camp. It is intense!! So after my workout I made chicken for dinner and then we took Molly for a walk. We did the 45 minute walk, which I was about half way through when I decided that I should have done the shorter walk. My legs felt like rubber after doing the cardio workout. So between the walk and the workout I burned about 700 cals. I looked up the reviews on my watch and they said that it was pretty accurate, so I guess that it means that I am burning about what the watch says I am! Yay, I would hate to find out my watch said that I was burning 2000 a day and I was actually only burning about 1200 or something like that. But anyway, I feel better about my day after having done that workout. The only problem I had with doing it was my feet. My arches started to hurt so bad that I would have to stop during the workout and give my feet a break. I have no idea why they would hurt that bad. I have done that workout in the past and have never had that problem before. Any suggestions?

Weekend Workout
So I know that I am suppose to have the weekends off and not work out, however, I decided that I wanted to go anyway on Sunday. It wasn't a very long work out. Although like I've said before (and will probably say again) something is better then nothing. The reason for going and working out on Sunday was because I had not had good dinners the 2 nights before. So to make up for it, I went and did a 30 minute work out on Sunday and took Molly for a 20 minute walk on Sunday night. The woman from No Singing Allowed was there as well, but luckily she either didn't bring or forgot her Ipod. Yay for me!! Anyway I did a good work out today. I did 15 maybe 20 minutes of strength training. I did my arms, shoulders, back and abs. Then I did 20 minutes on the elliptical. Those things are harder then they look! You see people on them and they make it look so easy. The first time I ever got on one, I was one it for a grand total of 5 minutes before I gave up and went to the treadmill. The longest I have ever gone on the elliptical was 30 mintues, however after I was done I though my heart was going to pop. Anyway, I am trying to eat better. I am always better about eating on the days that I work out. Which I kind of feel is backwards. You would think I would try and eat better on the days that I don't work out to make up for it. Oh well. So had oatmeal (apple cinnamon) for breakfast and then I am about to make my strawberry banana smoothie for a snack. Not sure what I am going to have for lunch. Either soup or leftovers. So hopefully I will be able to get under 145lbs this week. Lets keep out fingers crossed!

Weigh In
So I did my weigh in this morning. It is something that I have dreading for a while, it always freaks me out to think about it. Thats when the what ifs start to kick in and the self doubt. What if I didn't make my goal? What if I gained weight instead? Anyway, my weight was 146lbs. Not to bad. I didn't make my goal but i'm not giving up. I still have next week. Last weekend I was really bad as far as eating. This weekend I am not going to go out as much. Tomorrow, we already have a picnic planned and I am going to have grilled chicken with corn on the cob, instead of going to out to eat and getting a huge plate of pasta. Also yesterday I was having a bad and I a caved and ate a lot of bad things at work. So maybe if I don't do that next week I will be able to make my goal. Tomorrow is a new day and next week is a new week.
Today, I did make it to the gym. Which is the first time that I was actually able to go for the 4 days a week since I started. I did more ab work outs and did another 45 minutes on the treadmill. No Singing Allowed
So I was at the gym this morning doing my work outs minding my own business. There were a couple of other people there, but I was working around them. Well today is the day that I work out on the treadmill after doing some ab work outs. So I get on the treadmill and set it for 45 minutes. I was about half way done when a couple of the other people come and get on the treadmills next to me. I think that they might have been mother and daughter. Anyway I am walking on the treadmill and watching the class in front of me do yoga when I start to hear something over the music of my ipod. Come to find out is was the lady next to me singing along with her ipod. She must have thought that she was just singing to her self softly because I would only hear everyother word. The problem was that she was getting louder and louder as she sang. I had to turn my ipod way up to drown her out. I had to listen to her sing for the last 18 minutes on the treadmill. I was less then happy about that. Don't get my wrong, I will sing along with my ipod at the gym but only if there is no one around me. I go to an womens only gym. So there are some days when I am the only one there. But I never do it around other people. But anyway as you can see I did some ab work outs and spent 45 minutes on the treadmill at a fast walk. I don't like to run, so instead of walking/jogging for 30 minutes. I walk for 45.
Last night was an ok night. We took Molly for a walk but we only did the short 20 minute walk. Something is better then nothing though. My watch told me that I burned 2054 calories yesterday. No Ice Cream for Me
So last night we took Molly for a 40 minute walk. It was a lot of fun. Molly sure knows how to guilty her mommy lol. There is a Dairy Queen that we pass on our walks and every day we go past it she walks up to it and wants to get ice cream. They have these things call pup cups. Its just vanilla soft serve with a dog treat in it. Well anyway if we dont stop to get some she will continue to look over her shoulder at DQ til it is out of sight. So it makes me soo guilty when we dont stop for ice cream. So last night my Fiance noticed that they have a new blizzard called the pumpkin pie blizzard. So we stopped and Molly got her pup cup and he got a mini blizzard. I am so proud of myself cause I didn't get any ice cream, I got a diet pepsi! I didn't even finish the pop because it tasted funny so I threw it out on my way home. I also learned to not eat Ramon Noodles for lunch. They are 190 cals. per serving and there are 2 servings in a bag. Plus its not all that filling. So I ate about 1600+ cals yesterday. Not to bad I guess. So no more Ramon Noodles for me. Mostly I eat soups for lunch, such as chicken noodle or tomato soup. Then I will have some veggies or fruit with it and maybe a sandwich.
So I just got home from the gym. Today I was on the bike for 20 minutes and did leg and butt strength training for about 15 minutes. I split the bike up though. I did 15 minutes and then did the strength training and I was going to leave after that, but for some reason I felt guilty, so I went and did another 5 minutes on the bike. It made me feel a little bit better. So we will be taking Molly out for a walk tonight. Today is a beautiful day, with a high of 70 degrees. So tonight should be a nice night for a walk. I think that I am going to make Fridays my weigh in days. I want to do it before the weekend, because that is when I am the most likely to be bad. So if I do it on Fridays and I have eaten good and worked out all week then Fridays would be the best time. I think that I feel the most silly is when I am trying to stay active at work. I am a nanny, however, before you say that I should be chasing the kids around, they are older and have no interest in playing with me. Mostly they play with there friends or watch tv. Now that school has started I spend most of my time with them helping them do their homework. So I do a lot of sitting. That is part of the reason I gained so much weight in the first place. I went from a retail job where I was on my feet all day long, to a job where I am sitting most of the time. So I try and walk around picking the house up. I even resorted to crunchs and push ups (when the kids where doing something else of course). Its hard because there is not a lot I can do. I am only there for about 4 hours. Is it ok if I just let it go or should I try and keep moving at work?

The Weekend and More
So I had fun over the weekend, although I was bad and ate a lot of bad things.
Saturday: I was good on Saturday till my afternoon snack and dinner. My fiance and I decided to go to a cider mill that is close to our house. So we did do a lot of walking, however that was canceled out by the fact that we did some wine tasting, ate doughnuts and apple cider, and some other yummy goodness. We also went to a Texas Roadhouse for dinner. I got an 8oz steak (but I only ate half of it) a baked potatoe and a salad with no croutons or tomatos and with Ranch dressing. I can tell you that I felts so sick that night! But we had fun and that is all that matters. It was the weekend so I don't feel to guilty about it.
Sunday: Well Sunday I was a little better then on Saturday. I wasn't feeling well that morning (left over from Saturday I think). So I stayed home and did nothing for most of the day. I had toast with peanut butter for breakfast and two cheese wraps for lunch ( just a shell with melted cheese inside). However, later that day I was starting to feel better, so we decided to go to the mall. We walked around there for about an hour. Then we decided to finish the weekend off with a nice dinner, so we went to a nice Italian place. So anyway that was the last of my splurg on the weekend. We did take Molly for a long walk, so that helped. I also took my measurements that night. They are

So I have no idea if that is good or bad. Its probably bad since I know that my BMI is to high and that I am considered overweight.
Monday: So today I am trying to get things back to normal. I had a bowl of maple and brown sugar oatmeal for breakfast and I am having my strawberry banana smoothie right now for a snack. I also got to go to the gym today!! I did 15 minutes of strenght training on my arms, back and shoulders. Then I spent another 15 on the elliptical. So far I have had my heart rate watch on for 1 1/2 hours and I have burnt almost 500 calories. That has to be good. I do intend to make a good dinner and I also plan on taking Molly for a long walk later tonight. I need to get as many walks as I can in now, before it gets to cold. I may also clean the house, but I don't know I might leave that for tomorrow.

Last Night
So last night was a lot of fun! After I got out of work my Fiance decided that he wanted to go out and do something since it was a Friday night. So we went out to dinner and went bowling. I don't think I ate to bad all things considered. I did order a margarita, however I didn't even drink a quarter of it. I found bits of a rubber band in it so I asked if I could switch it for a diet Coke instead. We ordered some garlic cheese bread and I got a calzone for dinner. I did eat 4 pieces of the cheese bread, however I only ate half of the calzone and I picked out most of the filling. Honestly the cheese bread was better then the calzone. So after dinner we went bowling. That was a lot of fun! We played 3 1/2 games before my hand and wrist couldn't take anymore. I kept track of my heart rate while we played and it stayed at about 100 bpm to 104bpm. It was even high then that if I got a strike and did a happy dance. So I didn't do to bad. I even tried to be up and moving around at work and even resorted to doing push ups and crunches to keep moving. Lucky for me the little boy I watch was at hockey practice and the little girl was upstairs in her room reading a book. So I didn't have to explain what I was doing. Which is always a good thing! :-) So if my heart rate watch is right I burned 2000+ calories yesterday, with my walk, working out at work, cleaning the house, and bowling.
Today I actually got up at 8AM, like I have been wanting to for about a week now. I am trying to get on a schedule for my days. Anyway, once my Fiance gets up and we shower and eat breakfast we are going to take Molly to an off leash dog park and then we are going to go to a cider mill. It should be a lot of fun. We will probably take Molly for a walk later tonight as well. We didn't take her last night because it was cold and raining. Today is suppose to be cold but its not suppose to rain so it should be ok to take her. Well time to make breakfast and get on with my day.
