Weigh In #6 Plus Holiday Tips

So I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I didn't lose any weight and the good news is that I didn't gain anything. I am still at 141lbs. I am still at 13lbs lost. A few years ago I did weight watchers and ended up losing 13lbs, it was the first time a diet had ever worked for me. So I am now tied with my personal best, if I lose one more pound I will have beaten my own personal best! Hopefully this will be that week. I know that Thanksgiving is this week and there will be a lot of food, but what people need to remember is that the holidays are not about eating so much food that we slip into a coma. Its about being with our family's. I think that that is something that people forget about, its not about eating a whole turkey or opening a bunch of gifts, its about being with our loved ones and spending time with people we may not see on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong I love eating the holiday foods as well, I am just saying to keep it to normal portion sizes, just because its Thanksgiving does not mean that you should eat until your pants don't fit anymore. Same goes for Christmas, and Easter. So holiday tips:

1. Eat normal portions
2. When eating turkey take the skin off and eat the white meat which has few cals.
3. When you eat mashed potatoes and gravy skip the butter.
4. Skip the cool whip and ice cream with desserts
5. Stop eating when your full. Don't eat more just because its there
6. Try to avoid taking home leftovers if you are at your family.
7. Also try to workout like normal the day of and the day after.

Remember, the holidays are about being with your family and loved ones, not about eating til you pop.
