Me

Hi everyone, my name is Edel. I am writing this in an attempt to lose weight. So far I have had mild success, however if I am to reach my goal in time I will need to try something new. Enter the blog. So far I have lost about 9lbs and would like to lose 10lbs more in the next 6 months. The reason for the deadline is that I am getting married in June and I need to be able to fit into my dress. My true goal is to lose about 20lbs.

So let me tell you a little about myself. I am 23 years old, am 5' 3" tall and weigh about 145lbs. I bounce between 148lbs and 145lbs. When I started my weight loss program I was 154lbs. I started out on Weight Watchers and that is how I lost the first 9lbs. However, I just stopped losing weight and nothing I did helped. I have joined a gym close to my home. I take my dog Molly for a walk almost every night for about 40-45 mins. I have been counting my calories for about 2 weeks now and I can't seem to get below 145lbs. So I guess that my short term goal for right now is to get below 145lbs.

When I was  young I didn't need to worry about my weight (even though I did). I was 125lbs and thin. I could eat whatever I wanted and not gain a pound. I have never been one for working out or playing sports. I was a bookworm (still am ) and a band geek. But once I moved away from home and was out of school for a few years I started to put on the pounds. So it has been hard for me to get into a workout routine. I have never liked working out of any kind. My sister has made a work out schedule for me and told my what to eat and how many calories  to eat a day, but I am still 145lbs. Maybe if I tried to follow her work out schedule a little better I would start to lose the weight. Although I have been following her calories (about 1401 a day) pretty close. However, I havent been eating the fruits and veggies that she wants me to. So that is a little bit about me.

Goal for the week: Eat more fruits and veggies and get below 145lbs, even if it is only one pound below.
